SHHH, BE VERY QUIET!!! I've just come across a "reb" in it's native habitat, it appears he's just come out of hibernation and has awoken in its nest. Try not to startle him as the rebelis americanus species are known to become incredibly hostile when spooked. The rebelis americanus is a very unique species and this one seems to have sensed it's in trouble as its only known predator, the foederati americanus, must be in the area...

I proudly present you the front side of the 52nd New York Volunteer Infantry regimental flag. Since WoR is based on the Maryland Campaign Fredericksburg, Antietam and Peach Orhard are not shown at the flag.

You will notice on the left bottom corner "FR Klein" The name of the embroiderer, Franceska Klein. She also did the embroidery for the first colors of the 7th and 20th NY regiments.



The flags of the 52nd New York are a bit of a mystery. There is no record of them as being held by New York State in a list of flags in Phisterers New York in the War of the Rebellion in 1912. However, NY currently holds several flags of the 52nd, including their first regimental color and flank markers.

The flank markers are similar to other flank markers issued by the state. Dark blue in color and about 29” by 30 “, they are fringed along the border. The design and inscriptions are painted on the flag in red, gold and black, with the inscriptions reversed on one side. However, the regimental number read normally on both sides. The markers probably date from an earlier period in the 52nds service, as they only say “NYSV” for “New York State Volunteers”, not “NYSVV,” representing “New York State Veteran Volunteers.” The 52nd became a Veteran regiment in the winter of 1863. The oval shield in the center is also not as ornate as the ones seen on the markers for Veteran regiments.

The 52nds first regimental color is a beautiful, and possibly, one of a kind flag. According to an article published in the Brooklyn Eagle on October 31, 1861, it was presented to the regiment on October 30, 1861 while they were encamped on Staten Island. The flag was sewn by Brooklyn ladies under Mrs. Otto Schloemer, and presented by Miss Mary Matthews with remarks given by a Judge Reynolds, whose speech talked about the honor and devotion of “those who came to us from another continent” who are “pledging to the country a higher and stronger allegiance than that of mere birth, and cementing it in blood.” Accepting the flag, Colonel Paul Frank then gave a speech in German. After the 52nd put on some maneuvers for the assembled crowd, the guests attended a party.

The flag was made of two separate pieces of silk with a cotton layer inside and gold bullion fringe on the border, 77" by 85" in size. All of the work on the flag was embroidered, while the majority of other flags were painted on silk. One side of the flag was made of white silk, with Liberty mounted on the back of a flying eagle, holding the Constitution in one hand and the US flag in the other. The eagle holds an olive branch in its mouth, but clutches lightning bolts in its talon. Oak leaves are in the corners. Gold bullion was also used on the border of Liberty’s collar, sleeves and dress hem. Silver bullion was used for the star at the apex the collar and probably for the stars on the American flag. The name of the embroiderer, Franceska Klein, is on one of the corners. She also did the embroidery for the first colors of the 7th and 20th NY regiments.

The reverse side was made of scarlet silk. It was embroidered with “Sigels Rifles,” “52nd Regt. N.Y.S.V. 1861” and “Col. Paul Frank,” with oak leaves in the corners and laurel leaves in a wreath in the center. Both sides were embroidered with the battle honors of Fair Oaks, White Oak Swamp, Malvern Hill, Gaines Mill, Peach Orchard, Savage Station, Antietam and Fredericksburg, though they appear in a different order on the two sides of the flag.

The flag of the 52nd has been shown in two books from two different Time Life Series. One is The Bloodiest Day: The Battle of Antietam and the other was Echoes of Glory: Arms and Equipment of the Union. It was also on display in the Capital in Albany from October 2006 to October 2007 as part of an exhibit on the ethnic regiments of New York in the Civil War called “United Under the Flag.” The following pictures were taken during the exhibition. Though better views of the white side of the flag exist, this is the only place I know of that has a picture of the red side of the flag.

You can see it on the hats in these pictures before and after Antietam. Both the star and hat had T E X A S spelled out on it, if there was no embroidery of TEXAS on the hat, they least had the lone star. The lone star signaled that the man who wore the hat was from Texas.

Man.... I bought a new professional mic to up my game a little and unknown to me, I recorded for a good 40 minutes and it didn't record any of my mic. I think it's faulty so I ordered a replacement but I did get some great shots in and maybe I will do a voice over of the videos some other time. That training I received as a combat photographer in the military really payed off before I went on to do other stuff. ;)

I was testing something where corpses would receive some random impulses to sort of simulate them gurgling blood and some muscle spasm. The idea was that just when a player had been killed, they would do it a lot, then as time went on, they would calm down and eventually stop, but something went wrong and then this happened and I just thought it was too hilarious not to share ;)

You may also notice in this video that when I shoot the character in the arm, instead of the entire body going backwards, its mostly the left arm that receives the initial hit impulse and swings backwards.

I've thought that it is a shame hats don't render shadows over the entire top of the head, instead just where the brim is. I notice it is that way on your end, as well.

It is a natural limitation of shadow maps. Only way to get rid of it is to massively increase the shadow resolution which would destroy the framerate, or to use screen space shadows. Though in our version of the engine, screen space shadows only work at a very short range (1-2 meters). When we upgrade to CRYENGINE 5.5 or possibly 5.6 in the future, screen space shadows should have a longer range.

I agree with Bradley. I would also change your tone from being negative and berating units around you for doing something you don't understand or agree with, to something more positive. Or better yet, not say anything at all. Remember, they are your audience too. Praise in public, punish in private. I'm new to creating videos and my channel is small but I seem to be consistently growing. The thing you need to focus on is your audience and not necessarily "growing" the channel. Focus on one and the other will grow naturally. I also see that you have very few videos. My suggestion is to keep pumping them out. 3 to 7 times a week. Don't become emotionally involved in a particular video. Just keep working. Quality will come through quantity. You have a nice voice, you just need to hone your craft a little. Change your focus from what you want (I assume a successful channel) and think beyond yourself to become genuine to your audience. Think about your videos from their point of view.

All of the vids except for War of Rights were privated, I decided to focus on that because that was doing the best for me. I see your criticism of us. I understand you're just mad that you couldn't get your corporal rank transferred, and we wouldn't give you a special role in our discord. No need to go off and follow our line just to criticize.There is alot of reasoning behind the apparent "stupid things" we are doing as you say. Have all the men in melee mode because you can aim and fire from it then recover quickly to melee mode. Double quick up the hill instead of sprint, so you have stamina when you reach the top, and your gun won't sway as much. What you may call stupid we call survival in this game. We also were moving slower because we had never fought on the map, so we had to try to navigate through unknown grounds.

I get a bug with this unit. When I fix bayonet and after charge it, when I press F4 the bayonet results not fix in the rifle but fix on the uniform's belt.
Can you reslve that, please? Thanks

The issue is well known to us - it also happens when you join a server and the players there have fixed their bayonets before you join in. It also happens if a player long enough away from you fixes his bayonet.

We currently don't have a fix for this but will continue to look into it. :)

No its not being triggered with flowgraph if thats what you are referring to. All of it is being triggered and handled with C++.

The models are made with several different programs. You need tools for textures, modelling, simulating and such.
I think you need 3 or 4 different programs, for such a uniform.
