is there an option to surrender, meaning to put your rifle butt in the air. (EMOTES)

I think it would be a great gimmick, yes.
Like we said some weeks ago, we would like to add as much "emotes" as possible, like salute to others, poiting in a direction, handsup, clap your hands or raise your weapon and cheer, or surrendering ;)

I can see it all now. The Great 'Clapping Charge' of 1862. :D

I can honestly see that happening..........

Okay, wait. For War of Rights if the other team captures the objective, the other team becomes POWS and go to a prison camp?

I can see this becoming a thing even if you don't implement a specific mechanic for it (like people being made to sling their Weapons) and being told they're POW's.

Could actually make an interesting mechanic/server option, like if one Team gets members of another to surrender and take them back to their Flag bearer they disappear from the Battlefield and the Team that captured them gets a ticket bonus or the Person that captured them gets a bonus to their personal Ticket count:

that'd actually encourage people to do this and make it slightly more than a novelty. If it was made slightly more beneficial to get enemy Players to surrender rather than just Shooting them, I could see this working as intended (like a bigger force making the effort to get a small Pocket of enemy to surrender).

Both Hinkel and R21 have nailed it, This is what I meant cause I have played 500 hours of mount and blade Napoleonic wars since mid July and the community can; Flap, cheer and surrender. I thought this game would have emotes as suggested by Hinkel, Aswell the capture of POW's suggested by R21 could lead to different game modes, possibly as both team try and capture as many officers and colour bearers, but I hope that the community rallies in support of this idea.

LASTLY MAKE THE EMOTES FREE NOT LIKE STARWARS BATTLEFRONT.

It would be kinds neat, like after charging a position getting a handful of enemy prisoners

Here is an idea for a mini-game or like something to do after an event.

So after an event, whoever wins is the prison guards of a POW camp. And the POW camp is filled with like 75% of the loosing side, be union or confederates. The other 25% (percentages are just an estimate, there will have to be some balancing) of the loosing side are fully armed and equipped. Those 25% have to either break the 75% out of POW camp, or the 75% have to escape on their own. And if the prisoners make it back to the loosing sides camp they will get armed and equipped and if all the prisoners make it back then the loosing side will outnumber the winning side in troops, and the companies that made up the prison guard will now have to fight back the other side to win.

EXAMPLE:

After event the Confederates win, Union looses. So now part of the Union companies are unarmed and in rags in a POW Camp, the Confederate troops now make up the prison guard. After many failed attempts the last bit of armed Union companies cannot break the prisoners out. But while they distract the Confederates most of the prisoners escaped. Some are hunted down, but most make it back to the Union camp. They rearm and now they outnumber the Confederates. The Union now pushes back to the POW camp to free the last bit of prisoners, and the Confederates must fight for their lives and still try to secure the camp.

You can call it prison break or something along those lines...

This just came to mind, I hope you understand what I'm trying to get across. I'm not to good at getting a point across over text, but I still try :cool:

As long as taking prisoners isn't akin to watching an episode of COPS, I'll be alright.

Happens way too often in WWII reenacting. Damn GIs.

Would also be good if Officers on both sides had voice Commands for these situations, like:

Attacking officer ::

'You're surrounded and out-numbered, Come out peacefully and you'll be spared'

Defending Officer ::

"Lower your Weapons, they've got us'

As Cheesy as those sound, something along those lines for 'Surrender situations'.

I'd rather die than be captured. But I'd still want it in the game. cowards.

Or you can opt to try and kill as many of them as possible to try and drain their tickets instead of surrendering.

If they put systems in place that benefited both sides, like both the Person surrendering and the Person that captured them getting bonuses toward their personal ticket count, or if someone surrendered instead of being Killed it'd take less time for the them to spawn it could be a worthwhile system and given the RP element it's probably something players would want. It could even be made a server side option so it's not forced on people.

They made it very clear in one of the updates on the kickstarter that there will be a ticket system in the game.

Yes, and a system like this one could be worked into said Ticket system.

http://projectrealitymod.wikia.com/wiki/Civilian

Civillians in PR work with that Games ticket system, a version of this tailored to WOR ticket system for surrendering could work.
