I just found a great little indie project thats in development. that It can only be described as the best parts Chivalry and War of the Roses (Before they both died) fell into a gene splicer and this came out.

If your cutting correctly you should only feel neglegable resistance, if a sharp kitchen knife can cut a hanging rope a sharp claymore can cut off a head.

Also it is similar to KC:D, only it's multiplayer, their's more blood, tons more customization, and the combat is 10 times faster.

Looks interesting, but I do agree with BloodBeag that it seems a little bit too easy to cut someone's head off. Bone is pretty tough you know.

plus humans would just be knocked over by the force of the blade. Unless, you cut perfectly horizontal with an incredibly sharp sword with a huge amount of force

Cutting true an arm or leg can be done with proper technique. What can't be done is cutting true plate armour...

The Mordhau devs just posted a new update and I got to say, after seeing it I'm hyped for this game about as much as WoR now. They also did a very good job of responding to feedback.

Related thing. It would be awesome if WoR could have a melee system like this eventually. Although I'd worry about VAC more at this point.

I personally prefer the directional blocking in m&b and kingdom come over the, one block, blocks all mechanic.
