But today, we formed the 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry! Join the Regiment that earned it's monument at Antietam for defending the bridge at Antietam Creek during the duration of the fight! Join the regiment that spawned 2 presidents (Rutherford B. Hayes and William McKinley), a Congressman, and a Supreme Court Justice! That is how the 23rd earned the titled "the Postbellum Politicians".
