I know you are a mod Kyle, but I thought the OP of the thread set the rules.

OP hasn't been active since April.
There is probably a more effective and fairer way to present recruiting information than posting in a thread. I'll talk to Kyle and see if we can come up with something agreeable. This method has always struck me as some wasteful hangover from the M&B community.

Hello,

As a former Reenactor, I find this game fascinating and the graphics pretty cool. BUT, I live in Shanghai. I do not want to invest in anything if I am not able to play with or against people because there aren't enough people in my time zone.
Hopefully, I am not the only one.

Look forward to a response,

I know a few scattered players living in Asia.
Also numerous from Australia and New Zealand. It is my hope a few will have the time and joy to make specific time zone based companies. I'm guessing when the Beta hits and more players will join. For now there are non of such companies sadly . It's mostly EU and NA

The 14th Connecticut Infantry Regiment is currently forming and recruiting for all positions. We are a laidback regiment that has no strict attendance policy but encourages activity within the regimental events. We are looking for motivated individuals who are looking to work towards becoming the most well trained unit in the Union army.

Attention! French-speaking soldiers needed!

The Sixth Louisiana Infantry, under the leadership of Maj. Gen. Paioletti, has become one of the largest and most active units in the War of Rights community, and also one of the most respected on the field of battle. Unrelenting attackers, bitterly tenacious defenders, the Sixth Louisiana Infantry have earned the nickname, “Tigers.”

We are now calling for French-speaking soldiers to fill our SECOND PLATOON of Company B. This is the only French unit in the War of Rights community and it is 100% historically correct for the Louisiana Brigade.

The largest and most ethnically diverse city in the Confederate States was New Orleans, Louisiana. Given its bustling port, overflowing with exports of “King Cotton,” tobacco, and sugarcane, and the state’s rich history of both French and Spanish occupation, when the Confederacy called for volunteers to defend the country against Northern invasion, entire companies of native born French, Italians, Irish, Germans, and Creoles rallied to their adopted country’s flag. The Sixth Louisiana Infantry, soon known as the “Tigers”, had over two hundred and fifty nationalities on its muster roll.

Join 26 Indiana "Willy's Irish Brigade!" We have a Discord Up if you want to join! Our Official discord: [url]https://discord.gg/FznqyP3

We figured discord was easier for people, its free- and its highly customizable- We wanted to have better communication as a group- sorry for the imagine qualities, seems they get compressed when uploaded. Check us out! Thank You!

Edit more Info: I am starting a fake irish brigade for the Union **we will be union only brigade/Company** More information and rules of the group will be told later on. Look for that post when I repost this.

**I have an offical flag made if you would like to message and see**

If anything a, Discord will be set up with ranks **Websites are overated and take little to much work to operate** and your fake soilders name with rank- This isn't fully serious role play- unless the majority of the group wants it to be- this helps me keep track rather than your made up discord tags.

Example: SSGT John Doe | Company A

Ranks will be almost random at the start, officers will be the people I put in charge. Only officers are allowed to grant you higher ranks. Ranks can change depending on how you play or act. I am merely only making this, another person will be in charge- he will be your Colonel.

I want this to be a fun group anyone can join and have fun, even know we are a "Brigade" we will act like a regiment- the max that will be allowed to join is 800 men- if this is group is popular, we will will start a new group. I don't know what Discord will hold, We will see.

Thanks for reading, hope to see you all in the future!

We are a light hearted group of players who play for fun.
We use mainly skirmish tactics but will also use line tactics as numbers grow.

We have our own TS channel.

There are no egos here.

We have players from Europe, America, South Africa and Canada so we are a varied bunch of Rebels......
For a good laugh and some good times enlist in the ' D'.

Hello, I'm looking for a USA company; preferably an Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana company, as I want to roleplay a Kentucky soldier. The ones I find don't seem like they've been active in a while. Any suggestions, I am on the East Coast too as far as time zones.

Thanks, I'm excited to be a member of the War of Rights community.

I cant recall any active unit from Ohio or Indiana. Kentucky is not represented in this game since they did not participate in the Maryland Campaign. The majority of active Union regiments are from Pennsylvania, New York, Maine, New Jersey and Western states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. If you like sharpshooters, i would suggest looking into the 2nd United States Sharpshooters under Captain Winn. https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5509-2nd-U-S-Sharpshooters-quot-Berdan-s-Sharpshooters-quot-Co-H

Or by all means create your own company and you have good prospects now with a ton of people playing. Here are a list of other active Union Regiments that i know of:

1st Maine Cavalry: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5338-1st-Maine-Cavalry-Company-A
2nd New Jersey: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5417-2nd-New-Jersey-Volunteer-Infantry-Companies-A-amp-B
9th New York Zouaves: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5213-9th-New-York-Volunteer-Infantry-Regiment-quot-Hawkins-Zouaves-quot
42nd Pennsylvania Bucktails: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?721-42nd-Pennsylvania-Infantry-quot-Bucktails-quot-2nd-Battalion-Co-E-amp-F-EU-NA
72nd Pennsylvania Zouaves: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5301-72nd-Pennsylvania-Company-A-amp-B-Baxter-s-quot-Fire-Zouaves-quot

If none of these fit your fancy, here is an up to date list of all active regiments currently in game:https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?5473-*List-of-Active-regiments-companies-in-War-of-Rights*

8th Florida Infantry Regiment is one of the oldest active units in history of War of Rights, formed by Captain William Carney two years ago. From then, our ranks are still growing, currently we hold two battle-ready platoons of battle-hardened veterans as well as unruly young new recruits. Our ages range from 13 to 61. Our members comes from homelands of Florida, France, Finland, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Britain, Czech, and even from Jordan. We are semi-harcore company focused on line battle engagement, each of our soldiers is feeling like home, when there is line formation around him, there we shine most. Our drill sessions are focused on Hardee's drill manual (http://draytons.tripod.com/drill/2ColHardeeRevisedManual1861.pdf), which we implement on the battlefield. We also regularly sponsor community events and keep close cooperation with other regiments we fight with. We are one of the founder members of the United European Community, recognized by the Campfire Games themselves. We will fight with the honor, courage, and devotion to defend our Florida homeland against invaders from the North. Best of the best from Sunshine state. Any Fate But Submission!

Why do you spam this thread with your compagny recruitment papers?? It is not stylish to do this. All have just one add here and I think it is even a rule for this thread. Also it is only fair to others if you keep it with only one advertisement like the rest of us do!

I'm not moderator, but I think this thread's purpose is to post recruitment papers. Looking at the OP:

This thread is going to be dedicated for regiments and players to advertise themselves.
Rules:
-No insulting
-No spamming(Max one post every 2 days)

it specifically mentions that it's dedicated to advertising. Also, the OP defines "spamming" as posting more than once every 2 days. I can't recall anyone spamming under that definition.

Best,

I think it is spamming when you see the same post two times with only one post in between. Look at the capt Timo post. True that it is more than two day's past the post of before, but still….
I believe that they should remove this whole thread if they keep it this way. There is only spam of regiments going on now, so it is starting to get choatic in this thread. I hope they make a new rule that post can only be placed once to keep it fair to others.

Better here than elsewhere.
I've been meaning to work out an alternative and cleaner way to place recruitment posters. This is an old hangover from Napoleonic Warfare/Mount & Blade games.

It should only be one per compagny if I had a say in it. This way the thread goes crazy when we all start to re-post our recruitment posters and such.

Look at this like the advertisement thread. Like if you would see adds on TV or Youtube. As we do not post more than one add for our Companys a day, I think it's all good. We have had no complaints up till now.

Personally I think this kind of threads will spoil the forum and it will cause people to ignore threads like this, since like you said I have to see it like tv commercials or media adds. What do people hate most? Adds, commercials or other things like that. They will try to skipp it or even worse in this case it can cause people to skipp a forum. The forum itself is overall good, but I hope stuff like this will be allowed to the minimum. A forum with to much will be not attrackting or stylish. But still that is a personal oppinion. ;)

KÄMPFE FÜR SIGEL! KÄMPFE MIT DEN GERMAN RANGERS

https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8402/28402535444_167fff0342_o.png

Dann melde dich hier (http://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?781-52nd-New-York-Volunteer-Infantry-quot-German-Rangers-quot-or-quot-Sigel-Rifles-quot-Company-A) freiwillig!

Do you want recruitment spam? Because that's how you get recruitment spam.

The 42nd Pennsylvania Bucktails is the oldest unit in War of Rights, and we've been continually active for over three years- we like to think that's becase we know what we're doing. We have E Company (NA) and F Company (EU), which we've combined into one battalion. We are semi serious- we require semi-historical names, but we've modified our training to cut out the useless parts of the drill manuals. If you'd like to learn more, hop into our discord (https://discordapp.com/invite/TSHsrvc) or check out our forum page (https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?721-42nd-Pennsylvania-Infantry-quot-Bucktails-quot-2nd-Battalion-Co-E-amp-F-EU-NA). Jeff Davis Legion F (EU)
10485

Jeff Davis Legion F Volunteers Cavalry is recruiting!

Legion F is formed out of European volunteers and US players who fight together with confederate fighters in a Cavalry devision.

Hardened in battle with specialism at skirmisching and flanking. Also mostly sharpshooters who can pick their targets. The legion is under supervision of the Dutch captain N. Utcase. He will report to overall command if needed and leads the legion to victory against the invading Yanks. They want to invade our homes and most important of all…..

10486

So for freedom and self control we fight the fight!

Discord:https://discord.gg/NaSrd2E

This is a group formed for the European players to work allong with US players. Leader is from the Netherlands. Very skilled in battlefield command by years of field experience in re-enactment. The aim is to gather players who like to form a compagny and make a difference. Not only Dutch players are welcome of course. Recruitment is from European soil and US of course. Events and training will be following in future when we have the players for it! Also that is why we start small first. As you can see roles are set low, but promotions can be made when we grow big enough. That is why for now the aim will be forming a small squad with only NCO"s to lead in the field. When growing and recruitment goes well, we will promote to a full compagny with roles as Officers and all. Also than we will be taking part in international battles against other units. Structure is one part, but still we will be aiming for fun in the game as well. A lost battle with fun is better than victory without!

Do you like the above, than enlist to get a role and start some fun.

One famous U.S. inventor was a former West Point graduate and ordnance officer named Robert Parker Parrott.
Robert Parker Parrott In 1836, Parrott resigned his rank of captain and went to work for the West Point Foundry at Cold Spring, New York. This foundry was a civilian operated business and Parrott, as a superintendent, was able to dedicate some forty years perfecting a rifled cannon and a companion projectile. By 1860, he had patented a new method of attaching the reinforcing band on the breech of a gun tube. Although he was not the first to attach a band to a tube, he was the first to use a method of rotating the tube while slipping the band on hot. This rotation, while cooling, caused the band to attach itself in place uniformly rather than in one or two places as was the common method, which allowed the band to sag in place. The 10-pounder Parrott was patented in 1861 and the 20- and 30-pounder guns followed in 1861. He quickly followed up these patents by producing 6.4-, 8-, and 10-inch caliber cannons early in the war. The Army referred to these as 100, 200, and 300-pounder Parrotts respectively. By the end of the conflict the Parrott gun was being used extensively in both armies

Richmond Howitzers History

http://civilwartalk.com/attachments/1stcompany-richmondhowitzers-jpg.86905/

George Wythe Randolph, the first captain of the Richmond Howitzers, was born in 1818 at Monticello, the home of his maternal grandfather, Thomas Jefferson. Randolph was appointed a midshipman at the age of thirteen, and served in the navy for six years. Afterwards he studied law at the University of Virginia, and in 1850 moved to Richmond to practice his profession. He conceived the idea of the "Howitzer Battery", which began organization on November 9, 1859, himself as captain and Gaston Otey as First Sergeant.

The Richmond Howitzers grew into a battalion of three companies by May 1861. The original company, reorganized on May 8 with the election of Captain John C. Shields, was thereafter known as the 1st Company. In November 1861 Captain Shields was promoted to Lt. Colonel and transferred, to be replaced by Lt. Wm. Palmer. In March of 1862 Captain Palmer, who desired to go into army medical service, was replaced by 1st. Lt. Edward McCarthy.

An elite unit, the Howitzers served with distinction. The 1st Company Richmond Howitzers, a four-gun battery, participated at First Manassas, the Peninsular Campaign, Seven Pines, the Seven Days' Battles, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, and the retreat from Richmond to Appomattox.

At Gettysburg, on July 2, 1863, its two rifled guns expended 200 rounds of ammunition in less than two hours at Devil's Den, and the next day, one piece alone expended 300 rounds in support of Pickett's Charge. The battery saw its commander, Edward S. McCarthy, killed at Cold Harbor; felled instantly by a sharpshooter’s minie ball.

The book: "Four Years Under Marse Robert," by Major Robert Stiles of Cabell's Batallion offers these observations of the Richmond Howitzers:

https://static.wixstatic.com/media/bd4897_01a9aa2faaef4d32ab3991c5a56a12ba~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_435,h_528,al_c,q_80/how2.webp

"The composition of the three companies was very similar; that is, all of them were made up largely of young business men and clerks of the highest grade and best character from the city of Richmond, but included also a number of country boys, for the most part of excellent families, with a very considerable infusion of college-bred men, for it was strikingly true that in 1861 the flower of our educated youth gravitated toward the artillery. The outcome was something quite unparalleled, so far as I know. It is safe to say that no less than one hundred men were commissioned from the corps during the war, and these of every rank from a Secretary of War down to a second lieutenant."

"Few things have ever impressed me as did the intellectual and moral character of the men who composed the circle I entered the day our guide led my brother and myself to the Howitzer Camp. I had lived for years at the North, had graduated recently at Yale, and had but just entered upon the study of law in the city of New York, when the war began... To my surprise and delight, around the camp fires of the First Company, Richmond Howitzers, I found throbbing an intellectual life as high and brilliant and intense as any I had ever known."

Where are the active Mississippi companies gone to? Richmond Howitzers where historically attached to Mclaws Mississippians at Antietam. They didn't all have that 1842 smoothbore.

The 88th New York Infantry newly formed Company A is now openly recruiting

The 88th New York Infantry is a realism based unit that trains and plays regularly balancing realistic drills and formations while optimizing our gameplay so that is conducive to War of Rights. As the games comes closer to full release, they continually tailor their training to create a fun and realistic atmosphere. The 88th New York Infantry is one of the three units of the Irish Brigade and currently the only one striking the balance of realistic training and gameplay. Our training is led by a real life Civil War reenactor in addition to the 1st Sgt and leadership whom have years of experience in many other period based games.

The 88th NY now has its own dedicated server and are now ready to do weekly events with events held every Saturday with the option of training on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well.

You can check the list of 'Active regiments (https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?6119-*New-List-of-Active-Regiments-in-War-of-Rights*&highlight=list+active)' , but preferable the best way is to join events (matches) and see which regiments that interest you.
The only advice I can give is take your time, it's better to wait then to regiment hop cause it didn't work out :)

Hey! :)

Looking for a Union company that is either based in/has people from/events feasible for someone in the Australian timezone. Not the greatest player, and definitely new, but willing to learn and follow instructions but while after a somewhat mature and serious approach not really keen for a milsim sort of deal. Also will be moving to the EU in six months, so a company with an EU presence that I can move over into would be ace too.

Tend to actually really enjoy more support roles, flag bearer and any others they choose to add, and wouldn't mind trying my hand at artillery either but ultimately I am happy to turn up and roll out as whatever is needed on the day.

Feel free to drop me a line via private message here or I am Douketios on the Company tool as well.

Cheers! :D

We have one or two events a week and one on the weekends, as well as one training session each week, for a total of three events weekly.
Armed with Sharps breechloading rifles, the battalion fights in both line and skirmish formations, as a homage to the historic unit's disregard for the rule book.

Battalion officers hold a pool of knowledge and skills, and the NCO corps walks their own path of specialization.
This winning combination creates a team able to train men in all forms of combat. Players are recruited from all across the community with a wide range of different abilities; all are welcome in the 42nd Pennsylvania as long as you keep to the rules.

We occasionally attend events with the 39th but are looking for a regiment that have more of an active attendance in events. Due to our holdfast schedule we cannot commit to a full WOR schedule but would like to hop in to the odd event once or twice a week. Happy to change our tags to reg tags etc.

12069 Robinson's Battery 4 is searching for new recruits. We are a Artillery division seeking to increase our roster. Currently we only have one member (myself) and I'd very much like to see that change soon. So If you're interested in a Union Artillery Division please message me at. https://steamcommunity.com/id/mikeosix on Steam or RikoTravis#0589 on Discord! Looking forward to hearing from you.

We have two events a week and one on the weekends, as well as one training session each week, for a total of three events weekly.

About Us

Rowan's Battery was brought back to life by Captain Tea early in 2020 and has since grown into an active and well trained unit . We pride ourselves on our professionalism on the field, and our shenanigans off it. We play every weekend as part of Hood's Division, a large and active community within War of Rights. If you are looking for a close knit and inclusive unit to play with then look no further! We also attend both EU and NA events with members from all over the globe so all are welcome!

History

The Rowan Artillery was called up 3 May 1861 for twelve months service. The men were organized in Salisbury, North Carolina before being sent to Weldon, North Carolina where the men would enter the Confederate service for 3 years or the duration of the war.

It was here that Captain James Reilly took command of the artillery unit. Reilly was an Irish Immigrant, who had been a member of the United States regular army. He had fought during the Mexican American War in artillery and at the start of the War Between the States; Reilly was the Ordnance Sergeant at the United State post of Fort Johnston in Smithville, North Carolina. He was known in the service as “Old Tarantula”, and was described by a soldier of the 4th Texas as “rough, gruff, grizzly and brave. He loved his profession and knew his business.”

was expanded with the addition of Manly's Battery under the command of 1stLt. Kink with both batteries now providing
each half of the 1st North Carolina Artillery Regiment under Major Tea. We play every weekend as part of Hood's

10th Regiment Volunteers-1st Artillery was organized at Raleigh, North Carolina, in June, 1861, and was composed
of five light companies (A,C,D,E, and I) and five heavy companies (B,F,G,H, and K). Companes A, C, D, and E served
in the Army of Northern Virginia and took part in the campaigns of that army. Only 1 man was present at Appomattox.
Companies B,G,H, and I served in North Carolina. Company H disbanded sometime after the fight at Plymouth, and
Companies B,G, and I surrendered with the Army of Tennessee as infantry. Company F was captured at Fort Fisher
and Company K was stationed at Weldon, North Carolina and disbanded during the winter of 1864-1865. The field
officers were Colonels James A.J. Bradford and Stephen D. Pool; Lieutenant Colonels John L. Bridgers and Henry T.
Guion; and Majors Stephen D. Ramseur, James Reilly, Thomas Sparrow, and William B. Thompson.

The Battery was organized in Raleigh, NC and called the "ELLIS LIGHT ARTILLERY" and "ELLIS FLYING ARTILLERY"
in honor of then governor John W. Ellis. When the battery's first captain, Stephen Dodson Rameur was appointed
Colonel of the 49th Regiment NC Troops, 1st Lieut. Basil C. Manly was elected captain. The men decided to rename
their company "Manly's Battery" in his honor. It was under this name that the battery served for the rest of the war.
“Just prior to the Gettysburg campaign Manly’s Battery was reduced to four guns because of the general scarcity of
horses, equipment, and men throughout the army. With two 12-pounder howitzers and two 3-inch rifles, the battery
fired 1,146 rounds during the Gettysburg campaign. It was actively engaged on the field at Gettysburg on July 2nd
and 3rd and during the retreat supported the cavalry at Funkstown, Maryland, on July 10th.

Hello,

I used to play lots on NW a few years ago, wouldn't mind getting involved with a War of Rights regiment. Don't really care on the faction, skirmishers would be preferred. Would even play artillery. Preferably a group with mostly individuals over 20, and reasonably casual. I'm not looking to sign all my evenings away.

Edit: forgot to mention I'm British so really looking for European, and preferably British, groups.

We're just forming up a new company and I have over 3 years experience as a commander running the 2nd U.S. Sharpshooters where we excelled as skirmishers. We'll be a mature-minded unit and have a minimum of age 18 so click the sig below if you're interested we'd love to have you! We're starting off with just Sunday evenings at 7 EST drill followed by a battle at 8.

That sounds perfect, though I stupidly forgot to mention that I'm British so events in the evening US makes things tricky. Which, in fact, begs a question, does WoR have an active European community?

Thanks.

It makes more sense that you join a unit that has EU players. I can recommend the 42ndPA on the Union side. They have good leadership and NA and EU players. I've only been on the Confederate side for a short period so it's tough to recommend good EU units but they're out there.

Hello there, if you are looking to join an active skirmisher regiment with EU events then the 5th Cavalry might be for you. We are a fairly new regiment within the community having started up back in November of 2020 however, we have a very active and dedicated group of men who love to fight alongside each other! We have both NA and EU companies which in turn have their own events however, all events are open to all members. All our EU events are at 8 pm GMT with the exception being Sunday at 7 pm GMT. All NA events are at 8pm EST (1 am GMT) so timewise not too bad if you are wishing to attend those. There are no required days that you show up, you play when you want, however, much you want!

The absence of employees at the workplace, the decline in the effectiveness of the previous methods of interacting with clients, the lack of quality control over the remote work of employees, and other problems force entrepreneurs to change their approaches to work and turn to outsourcing. As a result, saas customer service (https://wow24-7.io/saas) has become more in demand. Do you guys agree?

Hello there fellow soldiers.
I am a 42 old guy from germany looking for a nicer way to play War of Rights. Got the game when it went early access and have played a few sessions and quite enjoyed it but forgot about it. Reinstalled the game, when I saw that it is now supporting 200 players.

Now the bad part. Working in shifts and having two childs and allready quite committed in being member of a WW1 online squadron for IL2 limits my play time.... Is there a european based regiment which is not that strict and a bit more on the "recreational" site of gaming.

Highly recommend the 52nd New York Infantry. They are a German-speaking unit that is dedicated to historical accuracy.

Hello comrades.

I finally have a computer able to play this game! I tried a public server and found the lack of any organization/direction very unappealing. But I'm not giving up, I thought perhaps I could ask around here. I am very raw but willing and wanting to learn.

Would anyone care to point me in a direction to a noob friendly group?

Hello, welcome to the forum!

There are several good units that could be suitable for you, but some important info is still required for a sensible recommendation: What is your native language, what time zone do you live in? Should it be a US or a CSA unit?

Fair point(s)!

I am an English speaker in the Mountain Time Zone. I'd prefer to wear gray if at all possible!

MTZ? That´s far, far away... Maybe you should choose a regiment which is based only on NA; but I don´t know any of theese good enough to recommend one to you. Just have a look on the Forum (https://www.warofrightsforum.com/forumdisplay.php?35-Companies) or into Discord (https://discord.gg/warofrights).

If you were willing to choose a regiment which is based on players from NA and EU, then I wood highly recommend the 8th Florida Infantry (https://discord.gg/9PGYpHW3) to you - but only Company A... The regiment is quite big, very effective on the field, drills and fight on a regular base - and ist lead by a british guy living in Canada...

The other option I can think of would be 1st Texas (https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?777-1st-Texas-Infantry-Company-F-quot-Woodville-Rifles-quot); this one is lead by someone from the US.

Either way: There are great units out there which will provide you with inside knowledge of the game and also with regular battles - with password protected and full servers, with admins and also with a history oriented way to play WoR.

Have fun and enjoy the game!
