Ranks And Armies

Hello, I plan on being a Major, wondering if you donate for in game ranks, or just rewards. Also, can you play both armies on the rank you chose, or are you stuck with one army? Thanks.

1. it's nice that you plan on being a major, i to want greatness such as that. 2. donating will not effect you in game rank it just gives the rewards. 3. you can play as both sides and are available to any rank within a certain range i believe the devs have said, such as a private won't be a brig gen, but with have access to an officer class of some sort(could be wrong on this, feel free to correct me)

ah the forum badges are a fundraiser rank, so if you donate the brig gen tier you will recieve this badge and all badges below. and when choosing it will have the option between CSA and USA ranks. as for the pictures i believe i went to settings(top right) and it should be there possibly near the change signature button. as a side note i'm not sure how to work the signature pictures thats all someone else

Im sorry to bother you again, Thank you so much! But, if you choose major, will you get seen as a major in the game? like, the uniform as seen in the WOR videos on youtube? I hope to mostly be in the USA army. Thanks again!

The rank you donate to on the pledge does not affect your rank in game. it is just a forum badge stating you donated that tier.

like Kyle said, if you donate major in the Kickstarter,etc. it will not dictate your actual rank in game. hell if i went for sergeant i could play as a captain whenever i wanted.

yeah, that's basically it. you could buy private, and play as a corporal up to general(general is debatable, but i'm sure one day they'll just say fuck it, let them play as it)

Anyone can play as anything except for a very few number of classes which are limited to the extremely high backers. These classes however are just alternates of ranks that everyone can play as. Your pledging rank has no affect on what you can play as, besides these few classes. :)

When the game releases and you play is it hop into a server and just pick a rank or how to do actually go about being a captain sergeant or what have you during game play

You will be able to pick any rank you wish when you enter a server.

The developers may have plans to set limits that vary depending on the number of players (Thinks Red Orchestra 2) but I'm not sure exactly.
