So I've been wondering, should I join a company or should I wait, or not join at all? Do I have to? I kinda want to but with some of the people in NS (trolls) I am a bit discouraged to... I really want to wait until after I get my hands on Drill Camp so I can see how it is without a Company...

you don't have to join a company at all, you could go solo if you wish or just screw around with friends, but with the aspect of companies you will be put into a more organized group of individuals and even allowed to attend events. Plus i would say being in a company is pretty fun, some guys can make you laugh because of the things that come out of their mouths

See I'm a Reenactor, so I might feel more at home in a Company, but then there are the trolls and the childish people (not naming names) that won't follow orders or be quiet for 5 seconds, that's the real reason I'm still debating, I'll probably just wait until after Drill Camp to make a decision.

of course checking the Orders of battle that are stickied at the tops of the USA / CSA forums will allow you to check what outfits are still available to be created. Perhaps rather than joining a preexisting company, you might want to make one of your own and invite more of your reenactor friends to join you.

That strongly depends on which unit you join. There are a few stead fast mature CSA units whom I'm sure will meet your expectations such as the 1st Virginia Infantry Battalion - Companies C and D (http://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?851-1st-Virginia-Infantry-Battalion-Companies-C-and-D-(Irish)) or the 1st Texas Infantry - Company F "Woodville Rifles" (http://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?777-1st-Texas-Infantry-Company-F-quot-Woodville-Rifles-quot). I can not tell if you're speaking from experience by the childshing person who won't shut up is often a part of much smaller less serious units. If you simply do a little digging you'll easily find the unit you might want to be a part of.

Alternatively you could make your own unit. I'd only suggest this if you already have a few guys you trust fully to help you as forming a 1 man unit will more than often die off rapidly. I'd also recommend taking the time to read my How To (http://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?957-How-To-Make-a-Company-Regiment) thread if you are looking into the option of making your own. It's not easy at all, you can trust me on that.

See that's the thing, I want to run a company, and I have some the potential officers to do so. If the 12th TX is not taken, I most likely will consider making a CS infantry company.

I dont see the problem. create a thread and advertise it. maybe you will get enough members. maybe not. It's on you.

Join a existing company and go your way up in ranks or create a new company.

here you can find a list of all taken companies
