When can we expect the next field report? Just curious.

Nobody knows.. but hopefully sometime soon. Most of us are eager to get more news on development, mainly concerning Drill camp wave 2 from what I can tell.

Its hard to be patient when you hardly know what is going on, mixed ideas. i know it is a heated subject, but not like people weren't impatient for the first wave...

I think the Major and Captain backers deserve some sort of explanation. In the 27th Field Report that was released on May 5th, it was stated "Once the major bugs (and we do mean major) have been found by this relatively small group of people, we'll open up the Drill Camp with quite a few bits of added content (doubling the Drill Camp map size with the inclusion of a CSA army camp) to the rest of our Alpha backers (Major Physical, Major & Captain). We cannot go into detail about when we'll open up for this segment just yet – that very much depends on how well the initial wave of invites go, but we're certainly not talking months but weeks." We're now two months in and there's been no further projection of a release date. I'm not asking for a Field Report necessarily, just some sort of idea about how things are progressing. At the very least it seems there should be a post by a developer that reads something like "We've been slowed down a bit by *blank* but Major and Captain backers can expect to see a second wave by *general time (i.e. late July [hopefully])*. I hope that some sort of information is released in the near future as leaving paying patrons with none is rude at best.
If you're not a Major or Captain tier backer, please don't leave a reply like, 'Have patience.' or 'The developers already have your money so if they feel like ignoring you guys then that's their prerogative.' as you're not the one who spent $69 -$176 only to be told a couple of weeks before the the initial release that 'Alpha Phase I' (which you were EXPLICITLY going to be given access to per the 'CROWDFUNDING' page) isn't really phase one and that there's now a newly created phase (Pre-Alpha, which I've frankly never heard of being used as a crowdfunding reward for video game, but maybe that's because most don't market it on a big banner draped across the front page of their website proclaiming 'Technical Alpha Available Now! Drill Camp'.) that's been created for the higher tier backers and that you've got to fork out up to $122 more to have access to.
If this needs to be moved to another thread, I understand. (There's so many threads like this one that I didn't know where to post it.)
Now, without further ado,

My god, you've spoken the most truth and sense than I have ever witnessed before. Well done!

@Sir Doctor Professor Indeed, as your linked picture states, keep calm. It has been barely over a month since the first public release. Around five weeks now in fact. You are correct however in saying that a new release wave was put in place that was not present beforehand, however before that everyone captain and up wouldn't have gotten a copy yet. The fact of the matter is the higher backers got access earlier than they would have. The captains and majors won't get access later than initially planned if that makes sense. If anything you will be getting it earlier due to backers, who currently have access, acting as a pre-alpha test group.
In short, the developers have kept to their word and are using this first public release as a means of fixing bugs, and fixing bugs they are. It will be much more polished for you guys when access is given to all of the phase 1 backers. Keep an eye out for the next field report and relax. ;)
@cjr727 It will probably release when the developers: 1. implement the confederates in the build and 2. fix major bugs they have encountered over the last few weeks. However, I can't be sure. They don't tell lowly moderators such as myself their release schedule. :p

I think the community should keep pressuring the developers for news/releases because as much as I hate to say it, many Kickstarter projects are never finished. It would make all of us backers who have already pledged feel a lot better if the updates on how development is going were posted say once a month.

I think the community should keep pressuring the developers.
The last thing people should do is becoming a huge grief-mob. Nonetheless, I would also appreciate a littlebit more open informationsharing on the process.

You'll be getting access to the test phase once we deem it ready. It is not exactly easy to estimate an exact date (which is why we haven't given you any) but we're still looking at opening up before we're talking several months. We've spent more than 3 years working on the project with no funds. Do you honestly believe 'pressuring' us in order to work harder or whatever is going to make any positive difference? Keep that up and we'll be less inclined to spend time on the forum and thus give you less information.

Agreed.
Honestly, it is hard to stay patient when you have no really idea when it is, weeks could turn into several months, etc. (Dont need responses that have sarcasm)

Please re-read my earlier reply.

I know you said you're not aiming for several months, but it just sounded like we would get it soon after the twenty eight field report.
