What does this new update add? I just got back from a NaS event and now I have to update the game. What does this new glorious update contain, pray tell?

Most likely bug fixes, there should be patch notes up shortly.

I don't know, I've never seen a 2 GB bugfix update ever.

Unless you're bugfix updating Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Most of the updates to this game have been this size.

Oh, well it's the first update I've encountered so far, so I wouldn't know

I know, just saying. :) You're essentially downloading a new build of the game.

The problem is when you are working all day with pretty much no breaks. At all. You have very little energy to do patchnotes :D. But I will try.

Some improvements to the characters.

When soldiers equiped with the Mississippi rifle fixes their bayonet. During the animation, they will now use the sword bayonet.

Depending on various circumstances, the framerate may have improved from everything between 1-10 fps.

A full time of day cycle now lasts 4 hours and the speed can be changed on the fly as we please.

The USA or CSA loading screen should now be displayed correctly, depending on which server you join.

The stance icon is more reliable.

Grass inside some of the buildings have been removed.

I think thats about it :p

Ok thanks, I'm glad for the FPS boost, every frame counts when it's as low as mine:p

It's just an experiment - we might end up with longer or shorter cycles or possibly admin set ones. We'll see!

I prefer shorter cycles so I can experience day and night in one session, it also allows for different tactics and styles of combat.
4 hours is a good start.
