Hi Guys,

since talking about roles began i would like to know how you guys are planning to make it possible for a General to lead (Hope that is not "classified"). Some possibilities came to my mind, but i dont want to anticipate something.

Looking forward for some reaction :)

Best,

Best way to describe what we're looking at is a "civil war modified battlefield 2 commander-ish" system available to the generals. I won't go further into details regarding it at the moment though, since it's still on the drawing board and prolly will change quite a bit before it's implemented. :)

Many thanks for your quick reply, actually that was pretty much what i expected. Well i am really looking forward to the final product...since there is no radio available ;)

Hehe.. think about couriers, which are bringing orders from regiment commanders and generals..
Horse riders, which can get shot and intercepting orders.

Just an example, to replace radios ;)

Is there going to be a dispatch courrier system available as well?

How can we if we don't have a courier system ? We need some kind of reliable way to transmit information .

Or, you just use some good old common wire and chewed bubble gum to make:

FIFA 15 Coins

It's the second sighting of the odd creature. Has someone tried stabbing it with a bayonet yet?

I am assuming a courier system will be used, but morse code would be pretty awesome. As long as it is manual, which I assume it would be.

Morse code would be cool, but I don't know how often it was used to communicate between a general, and specific brigades and regiments. Don't know much about this topic. Someone want to share how often telegraphs were used on a small scale like this? And +1 to what Brandenburger said. If it is in the game, it should definitely be manual. Of course you could have a virtual piece of paper on screen to show you the codes and such.
