Black Screen of Death :(

Every time I try to launch WoR, it launches as usual by showing the eagle and then when it goes full screen it's just black and it has the background music but the screen is black. I have tried verifying the game cache and restarting my computer and installing a new driver but nothing is working and before the Cryengine V update my game would launch fine but now after the update it won't launch :(

I am not too sure if this is still a thing, but one of the WOR devs set up a forum just for this sort of problem:

I had the exact same problem. I spoke with Tuffant21 and the only solution we were able to come up with is run the game in windowed mode and find another resolution it can run on. I had updated my cards and eveything and my computer is realtively new but it just won't run on full screen or 1920x1080 only for this game.

This program also takes a while to load and install initially. Patience is sometimes key. :)

Or just cheat and uninstall the game then re download it ;) it works good!!!

I'm trying to get it in a lowered resolution but I can't figure out how :(
