When WoR was updating itself in Steam today, my virus software found what it called malicious software TROJ_GEN.R00XC0EGJ16 in a file named Brofiler.exe
Can a Dev please give me an explanation if there is one?
Has anyone else here experienced the same?
Thanks.

The brofiler is a serverside tool which helps us diagnose certain errors in the game. There is no virus in it so please create an exception for it in your anti virus program. :)

That'd be quite a feat since he's not the one creating the builds. :p

I had the same thing some months ago when i installed cryEngine so it's definitely not a virus just a feature.
@David
But they had spies and a Major Pinkerton (hope the name is correct but i think you know what i mean ^^ )

Kaspersky killed it before I could get to it. Having it gone doesn't seem to affect overall function.
