29 out of 35 here also. That just taught me that I know very little about the Civil War in Mississippi River region. I fell for the Merrimack and Monitor even though I knew it was the USS Virginia. And I know very little about Kentucky. Oh, and I never clicked the hint button.

As to the Ironclad question. Didn't the french navy have two ironclads at the time?
Also same number as Hill 33/35.
Edit: both the French and the English navy's had ironclads already deployed by 1860. The Glorie and HMS Warrior, respectively.

33/35.
I got confused about why England didn't join, and I didn't know that the most soldiers were at Fredricksburg.
Best,

31 out of 35. The question about Kentucky was definitely the one that made me go, "Wow, I didn't know that."

33 out of 35 how was i supposed to know where lincoln was going to send the black people to? i dont remember the other incorrect answer.
i wasnt entirely sure about some of my correct answers though. i mean i wasnt 100% sure about clara making the american Red Cross and i was between died before trial by fever and shot dead about Booth. i knew he didnt die in jail because i had read about that woman who was executed along with the other conspirators and Booth wasnt among them in jail. in the end getting shot seemed more fitting and i couldnt recall of him having a fever.
tricky quiz anyway

Lincoln's administration was in talks with several foreign powers regarding the "relocation" of the former slaves I believe. There were talks between the Danish government and the US on about the possibility of sending some to the, then, Danish West indies (now Virgin Islands). Cheap labour for us and a possible solution to your issues in the states. Not a very proud moment for either.

I heard some sources talking about Lincoln sending the majority of the slaves to Brazil, which has a large African population

Lest we forget Liberia

Brazil was one of the places, I wouldn't forget Liberia since it was a place for former slaves who wanted to go back to Africa

I'm glad someone pointed out Liberia, but more importantly, check out the link within the Liberia page for the American Colonization Society. That's the real existence behind Liberia, and it was formed WELL before the Civil War, in 1816. Or how about I just provide the link.

Liberia wasn't even colonized like other lands in Africa because most of the nations recognized it as a colony of USA and left it alone.

19 out of 35. Mostly messed up on the questions about exact dates and amount of soldiers and what have you. As well as two that I knew the answer to but doubted myself.
I'm impressed that this site dared to mention that Lincoln intended to move African Americans to another country.

You mean the "Great" President Lincoln would have done such a thing? ;) If this surprises you, I'm guessing you may not have heard of the Corwin Amendment? If you have, kudos, not many people seem to have heard of the amendment that would have made it impossible to abolish "domestic institutions of the state"....all in the name of a last ditch effort to reunite his great Union prior to the bombardment of Ft. Sumter. States actually ratified this amendment also, like Maryland. And it was such a black eye on Maryland that 152 years after it was ratified, the state legislature moved to rescind the ratification.

34 of 35 I was doing so well but i read the question about fort sumter to quickly and thought it said fort fisher. so when it asked how many died, i put more than 0(Minus the two who died when a cannon exploded)

I had heard there was an "original 13th ammendment" that would've made it impossible to abolish slavery that was proposed under Lincoln but I never knew the name of it

Oh, it wasn't just proposed under Lincoln. He had his share to do with it also.
