Will there be Banners above the player's heads like in Mount and Blade or will there be some other way to tell who is friendly and who is enemy?

There will be an option to see names of nearby allies, yes. At a distance however, you'll have to rely upon flags and uniforms.

Awesome, so that is where the flags come into play. I am excited to see how many team kills there are at the first event, lol!

I already play N&S with no flags above heads, it resulted in me not paying attention as the blue clad 33rdVA moved around my side and volleyed my men. I love the fact that you have to rely on personal knowledge a bit to see whom you're fighting.

Yes, I do like that. I might have to try that next event. What is your regiment Bravescot?

I only do that in the big line events, can't trust myself in the normal ones :)

Cool. I am the 36th Virginia Infantry. We might have seen each other at an event.

I'll be honest, the way events are, I highly doubt it.

I am loving the fact no banners need to rely on flag spotting this just made the game 200% better.

Will the second national flag of the Confederacy be used in the game? In the movie GETTYSBURG it's mainly used by the high command officer staff (Longstreet and Pickett). The "Stainless Banner" is one of my favorite CSA national flags.
The 3rd National Flag (or the Blood Stained Banner) was only used for a brief time atop Confederate government buildings in Richmond... perhaps a few battle units at the end of the war adopted the vertical red bar.
And, is there a thread with ALL the completed flags ?? Both U.S. and C.S.A ?? Be nice to also see the green banner of the Irish Brigades (both north and south)

The Second National was adopted in 1863, so if a Confederate unit was using the national flag, it would be the Stars and Bars still.

The Second National Flag didn't exist yet. It wasn't introduced until May, 1863-- its first function was to cover the casket of Stonewall Jackson.

Do you think it'll get into the Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, or Gettysburg campaigns? Eventually?

Wasnt it spoken of somewhere that they plan on making free DLC of every campaign after the Maryland one?

No. We haven't talked about anything regarding post launch content yet - only that we wish to support the game for a long while.

That would be pretty fun, if you accidentally shout a blue confederate unit or a grey Union one.
