Thought you'd all enjoy a bit of history.
I'm about half way through reading this. It's been quite informative. (https://archive.org/stream/historypennsylv00esqgoog#page/n0/mode/1up)
I say some of you because originally Lincoln only asked for 14 regiments from the state of PA. But PA is populated with a hardy set of brawlers, and they produced way more than 14 regiments. Thanks to the foresight of Governor Curtin, he didn't want all these fellas to feel left out since the Federal Army refused to take any more than the 14 regiments it requested, so on his own merits, he formed what became known as the Pennsylvania Reserve Corps.
Eventually the Federal Government would come to appreciate Governor Curtin's initiative. The regiments collected in the Reserve Corps would eventually form the Pennsylvania Reserve Division.
Enjoy the reading!

PA Reserve Corps, huh?
Does it say anything about the 13th PA Reserves? ;)
In all seriousness, I've been really, really impressed by the archives that are available online for PA during the Civil War. I even contacted the Philadelphia Union League to find out who they equipped during the war, and they got back to me quickly with accurate information. Apparently, one of the Union League regiments (198th PAVI) was in Brigadier General Chamberlain's brigade near Appomattox, at the Battle of Lewis' Farm.

As a matter of fact, it does.
And, yeah there is quite an abundance of information available from pretty much all states that were engaged.

Thanks for the comments on the best state on the east coast. Indeed PA was amazing during the great Civil war.

Well then, shall it be swords or pistols? Just kidding, you don't get the luxury of choice. You will go out with a bang. ;)

On the contrary, I will defend my state's honor with cavalry broadswords (https://www.civilwar.org/learn/articles/abraham-lincolns-duel).

Why not use someone from Pennsylvania?
I hear that Meade, Hancock, Reynolds, Gregg, Hartranft, Haupt, Meigs, and David Porter would be happy to go up against their Confederate opposites.

+1, Sherman wasn't even associated with the eastern theater of the war that WoR is depicting! ;)
