On vacation in good ole Missouri and at this restaurant they fired off a cannon. Looks like a 6poind wiard to me, but I'm no expert on the subject of artillery
Take a look and give me your thoughts63806381

Could be a reproduction.

Didn't get any more good ones these were the two up close. But if you ever get the chance the area is very nice and at 8:30 every evening they fire this bad boy off. I do believe it's a reproduction piece, instead of the original, however I'm not entirely sure as cannons and how to tell them from an original is not my strong suit. The ammo wagon they had did look like it was an original piece but I have no pictures of it

Most likely it may very well be a reproduction as I'm sure by now original wood fixtures would have rotted away .... and any display in the park service are mostly all metal. Most types you see however are Napoleons, 3 inch Ordnances and the like ...
Where about in NC is yours Oleander?
Sorry you didn't get any more "good ones" ...
They also made 12 lbr Wiards as well. The differences in barrels were slight however Bores from 2.6 for the 6 lbr to 3.6 for the 12 lbr.

I think they are near Raleigh. It belonged to an NSSA outfit, I believe they were called the Rowan Artillery, not sure if they have it anywhere for public viewing. I saw it not long after it was made probably 10 years ago or so. I do remember them saying it was a very accurate piece.
