Hello and welcome to the double ranks hardcore event!
The paramount of this event is to get 150 men on the server to perform a stress test. Furthermore, we will also be performing historically accurate formations firing volleys following by a bayonet charge to end it all! Looking forward to seeing all of you guys there!

Rules from my Point of view would be the good set in stone as the following:

Rules
.No Teamkilling
.No racial slurs of any kind
.Must use double rank No spacing.
.Try to use roll play if posable.
.No killing of a surrendered enemy they are to be taken POW. If they run then well that's up to you what you do next. This is to keep an RP realism in the event

Very nice Vito, shows forward thinking and initiative. However my 6th Louisiana boys will be unable to attend. Perhaps we could change the date to this Sunday or Monday. Even better hold this event on July 4th, which would make it a massive event on the birthday of this beautiful country. Only question I have is will the devs attend and make it an organized line battle, will they be able to kick anyone breaking the rules. They should take the M&B Napoleonic wars servers example and control the community that joins accordingly. Including making sure that the CSA companys wind up on the CSA side and same with the Union. Many questions and things to be hashed out but this is a really great idea! Salute!

To even get the EU's to say, 2100 hours would put the US EDT at 1500, even earlier for central, mountain, and pacific time. At 1500 in US EDT, mostly everyone is still on their way home from work, unless they're 12 years old or work a non day-shift job.

It's really a 50/50 on the 4th I just want it to be a good time for both EU And NA

Next Event will concentrate more on the fallowing:

*Longer drill time going over how to fight in two ranks.

*Remaking historical parts of the battle such as the '' Irish Brigade attack on the sunken lane'' Also we can recreate the fight in the west woods there are endless options to come up with. *

being able too command their own troops from their unit we will try to have a sigh up for the units that can field 10+ guys

Agreed, members here are more than welcome to organise their own events (whether drill or skirmish) at any time they feel appropriate, folk will vote with their feet and move to the event that best suits their particular needs. If you really want to be pedantic about this Kiff, Rhett's event has been scheduled on a Saturday since June and I suppose therefore it is you whom is trespassing. :rolleyes:

This will be reenacting the attack of

&
1st Division, II Corps
Israel Bush Richardson

1st Attack -Units will fall back and reform once the unit has lost most of its numbers have been lost.
3rd Division, II Corps William Henry French
8th Ohio (Ingame)


2nd Attack -No fall back All Confederate dead stay at spawn
1st Division, II Corps

69th New York (Ingame)

3rd Attack & capturing of the point - Will be a flank attack by all of the union men that died in the 2nd Attack once the 2nd attack has started all Confederates that die in the 2nd attack are to remain at spawn. At the same time, the men at union spawn that have died will hit the left flank of the confederates and this is the signal for the whole Confederate line to fall back.


[2nd Round ]

This round will be just regular line battle but in Double Ranks, Both teams will fight in the middle of the field till one team has no tickets.

Hell yea that will be nice! If only some people did not mess up the battle part it would have gone well. But we could not get in their head that it was a reenactment and it was supposed to happen the way it did.

The ones who made it turn into a clusterfuck are all well-known trolls.They don't follow instructions and Rambo constantly for the whole event. Then they go post on the threads saying it was a bad event .Well, really it was a good event until they showed up saying stuff like

''We all paid 60 dollars to play the game and we can play how we want.''

If you wanna play the game how you want to go to another server and have fun with it. Not during a planned event, you guys know who you are but I will leave it to the rest of the'' Community''to sort you out.

This was an impressive event yesterday.
My members have waited a long time for such an event. In the second part, we have compensated our retreat during the reenactment with a victory!

One officer found it apropiate to start an discusion loudly and agressive pointing out the historical details was wrong, that kinda made the intire mood in the lines drop to zero. I am sure the officer was right, about the positions of the troops was wrong, but its not a point to make on the field or in combat. Reinactment or not.
One insult was totally inapropiate . . . Insulting the EU players for knowing nothing about the civil war, and claming they shut not have officers and command. Its okay to have stand on Things but such thoughts are to be posted here on the forum, not during battel. When we fight its as one unit, following orders, otherwise it wont Work.

It was an honour to be permitted command of the first wave made of the 8thOH. Was sad to somehow be the 2nd man shot though I was behind a good 3 man deep meatshi...I mean line.

I had to leave after this wave and I'm sorry to hear that the Reb side was spoiled by trolls and aggressive Americans with no regards for the German commitment to the war and the general european commitment to the war.

The funny thing is also is that the historical details that he was trying to point out where incorrect. Saying that there was no one killed in the the Bloody Lane.... As well they were trying to say that the Confederates at the sunken roads did not get flanked . As well historical inaccuracies that they were trying to say happen that never did. And all this stuff that they were trying to say we were doing incorrect could be simply proven correct to them just by looking at the Antietam battle map. The reenactment was to be done as close as we could possibly do it with the time that we were given and the numbers that were imgame . Yes we did have a few hiccups for instance the whole Union line died from artillery. And another instance was the whole Confederate line dying from artillery. Other than that we had a good time regardless of the trolls and lost causes that we're trying to destroy the event.

To have this event be "Historically Accurate" you asked the Confederate side to stand in one spot and get massacred?
When they refused to die "on cue" they were labeled Trouble Makers and Trolls?
Perhaps, it would have been easier to "Overrun them Historically" if you had set up a signal in Teamspeak for them to hit the Respawn button. Then it would be guaranteed that they don't shoot back.
I would appreciate it greatly, as would many I imagine, if these "Historical" rules could be announced in the Event Thread ahead of time ...

Then go to a different server. It doesn't make sense to join a server with a planned event, and then complain and make demands. We ALL paid the cash to play the game. We all deserved to play it the way we want to. You don't like it, then go somewhere else. There are plenty of empty servers for you to rewrite history. It is the epitome of arrogance to enter a planned event, interrupt the proceedings, make demands, and insult the players and their intentions. And a perfect example of that is the comment "I, for one, plan to change History by winning every engagement and perhaps the War itself"...like you are the most important player on the server.

Oh, and I do recall the comment being made by the certain "commander", stating that they have a scheduled event at that time, blah blah blah...so I think the real problem wasn't historical accuracy, but that this event was taking all the players that would have been at his event. I could be wrong about this, but that's what it sounded like to me. If I do have it right, though, it seems his intention was to come onto the server and purposely cause problems. And, because there was already comments made, on this thread, about conflicting event times and dates, it makes perfect sense to me.

Brilliant little Battalion we had going. Damn shame the audio cut out leaving us unable to do as we planned. Between 110 - 120 people on the server during this, even without II Corps who refused to attend for some reason.

Special thank you go out to the 6th Alabama and 52nd New York for their attendnace and coperation with the event!
