To the best of my knowledge, my math skills tells me that my post on 12/2 is prior to one labeled "yesterday" :) You cannot wait for someone to respond after my post and then say it's been mentioned! LOL That's like going back in time and saying something's already happened. I actually posted it when I did, at 1:15pm on Saturday, about 2 hours before we left for the illumination.

Apparently, I made it there before Shiloh, as I pulled up right next to the Pry House to get in line. We were there at about 1655, drove past the line to see how long it was, and because of certain road blocks, I made my way back around to the Pry House via the back roads that go past the Pry Mill, and got back in line at 1710 at the Pry House. They start letting vehicles in at 1800, and the line stayed still until we started to move at 1826. I shoved my monetary contribution into the jug at the entrance at 2005.

So, as you can see we sat for 50 minutes from the time we arrived, until they started letting vehicles in. We continued to sit another 26 minutes until we started to move. We crept along the shoulder of route-34 from 1826-2005 before we entered (1 hour 39 minutes). So total time investment was 179 minutes to wait and get into the illumination. Not counting the drive time through the battlefield, which once you get in, most care little about.

Unlike Shiloh with the children concern, I had two old people in the back of my SUV.

Just FYI, if you happen to be someone with a vehicle with daytime running lights that have no manual override, be prepared to be yelled at, stopped and asked to turn your lights off, or prompted to pass the person in front of you via a waving arm out the driver side window. Regardless of the prior rules of no stopping or getting out during the drive through the battlefield. Some people have no sense....."yea a$$hole in front of me, I chose purposely to beam my headlights into the back of your vehicle!!!" ;)
