That would be a nice addon, I like the left-side scope so that you can use your normal sights and the 4x telescopic sight when needed.
I'm excited for the implementation of this rifle in limited quantities off course.

Merry Christmas and happy new year also! I think that the rifle with a scope is honestly an optional thing for gameplay at all, maybe much much much (released game timeframe) later would be a suitable time for it.

Germany has some odd stories...

*SPOILER ALERT* : below is only for adults who lost their childhood

I like 'Krampus' and Europe has some more holiday anomalies.

Saint Nicolas (Sinterklaas) & Santa Claus

Technicaly the same person, we celebrate Saint Nicolas the 6th of december but we took over the whole 'Santa' thing from the USA (Cola Commercials anyone ?) who comes the 25th of December.

In the Netherlands (Timo could tell a bit more), things hit the fan every year because the Saint's so called helpers (zwarte piet which I will freely translate to ... black Dick) are white folk who paint the face black ... and there a Pro's (say it's part of their heritage and culture) and contra's (say its racist).

7648

Some fun facts :

Kids are told the Saint comes from Spain (supposed some believed the 'gold' halo from the saint are oranges ...)
Saint Nicolas was a Bishop in what is now modern day Turkey ... so he isn't a white old guy. (Klingon maybe)

I'm not even gonna start about 'Guy Fawkes Night' , 'Saint Catherine's Day', 'Saint Patrick's Day', 'Silvester', 'Wren's Day' ....
Well if people have a weird holiday :) Let me know ... some might be interesting.

Fastelavn - A Danish sort of Halloween I guess.

In the old days there used to be a live black cat inside the barrel which was smashed. The cat was then beaten to death. This was done to avoid getting misfortunes such as the plague. Jolly times indeed! Today there is candy inside the barrel.

Most holidays when you break them down do not make much sense and or are very strange. Easter, somehow the resurrection of Jesus is now a rabbit that does whatever on one specific day. I won't touch Christmas because if I criticize that...well, talk about a flame war. Halloween, people dressing up and pretending to be spirits that have to be given food or something to appease them otherwise they will haunt you, it came from the Ireland area I think. You get the point.

In one town we used to throw cats off a tower, to honor the believe that some cats could be witches (and witches should be killed) ... I can assure you none of those cats had nine lives.
Now they throw fluffy toy cats of the tower.

Looks like a Danish Pinata :) ...

Ah superstitions and some believes are kinda unbelievable.
Also to say the Catholic church where really inventive to make 'pagan feasts' into Catholic ones. (Sure Jesus was born on Chrismas day near a pine tree in Jerusalem ...)
And flying bells come from rome to drop chocolate eggs ... those I eat ... the one the rabbit brings (they smell funny).

Never heard this before, not sure what you mean.

My way of saying during history some 'cultural or religious/pagan' habbits got mixed together and turned into 1 specific holiday.

There is no historical or biblical reference to the exact day 'Jesus' was born for example*
The so called 'Christmas tree' has a Pagan origin (midwinter festivals ...)

Same with some other days like 'Halloween or All Hallows Eve' -> referenced to the celtic 'Samheim' ...

*"Pope Julius I, in the fourth century commanded a committee of bishops to establish the date of the nativity of Jesus. December 25 (the day of Sol Invictus, the invincible sun) was decided upon. Not coincidentally, that is the day when the "pagan world celebrated the birth of their Sun Gods".

Most of Christmas traditions are pagan in origin. Things like yule logs and the celebration on the 25th of December, the birthday of the Sun.
