v4npro
01-14-2018, 09:54 PM
I'm unable to post in the alpha bug section but since 2 patches ago my game now crashes on startup with crashhanlder.exe.
Things I've tried:
Delete all folders related to game(in steam folder and saved games)
Uninstalled and reinstalled
Reinstalled C++ Redis.
Specs:
AMD 1700
16GB memory
Asrock Taichi x370
Gtx 1080 Ti
Windows 10 N 64-bit 1709 (build 16299.192)
Any help would be appreciated.

Is WoR installed on drive C? If not please try to do so. Seems to have done the trick here: https://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?4920-Couldn-t-find-the-crash-handler/page2

Hi there!
It's been verified several times now that the issue can be resolved by installing the game on the C drive. We are naturally looking into other possible fixes for the issue but I'm unable to give you a timeframe regarding it being resolved.

Here's what fixed it for the other guys with the issue:
"I just had this problem with a friend of mine aswell. A other friend of him asked him with disk he has it installed on. Apperently on the E Drive. He got recomended to move the instalation folder to the C Drive. And now it works, no idea why. Might be something random.
Before hand I transfered some files (VC2008,VC2010,VC2012,VC2013) folders in there, no idea if this had any affect after the change of instalation folder"

I just installed to C drive. Didn't work. What files from VC did they transfer because the only VC files I see in WoR folder is msvcp140.dll and msvcr120.dll. I also have uninstalled rebooted and installed all VC packages over and over as well as the game in different orders to try and figure this out.
