Totally lost track of data, nothing can be found.

I am still trying to track down specific units, companies, etc, but the records for the Orphan Brigade units or any Kentucky units really (Since my family is from Kentucky) are nonexistent basically so it’s tough, the Union kept MUCH better records. All the family listed are closely related to each other (cousins basically) and it really surprised me how many enlisted.

Well when you live on a border state, especially in Butler county which is only a 20-30 minute drive from the Tennessee border, you’ll probably have a lot of your family being forced to fight because the front line is right there.

Orphan Brigade stuff is hard to find - I only know for certain of one relative in it and it's because he was a Colonel (so there were more places to look than just enlistment records). Sadly, a building that had a decent number of Orphan Brigade documents caught fire.
