Living in baton rouge i go to New Orleans all the time its the 2nd biggest collection of original CS artifacts in the country its gets over shadowed by the national ww2 museum right across the street

Thank you. There are three forms that I found from some research, Washington Artillery Commander's Badge, Washington Artillery Badge, and Washington Artillery Tiger's Head Badge. However, I cannot find any information on why the badge would actually be awarded or a distinguishment between the regular and tiger's head version, does someone know?

Edit: I think that both the Tiger's Head and regular version were awarded for veteran status (meaning extensive time in service for the unit) based on some loose documentation and description I found, correct me if I am wrong.
