Well the new Battlefield trailer came out today. I'm not gonna post it here because it wasn't particularly good. (Probably because the guy who used to make trailers for DICE left the company in Dec 2016.) (https://twitter.com/RollieThePollie/status/805912504152928256?s=09)

But we do have a bunch of good news as far as gameplay is concerned that wasn't included in the trailer. Such as:

You can construct fortifications around control points.
A cooler sounding version of operations called grand operations.
Gun emplacements can now be towed on the back of vehicles (and some can be fired while being towed.)
ALL POST RELEASE CONTENT WILL BE FREE AND PREMIUM IS GONE.
You can go prone on your back with 360 degree movement + general improved animations.
A new 4 player CO-OP mode with proceduraly generated missions.
All classes can now revive players if they're in their squad (with a very long animation though.) + Improved Squadplay.
Reviving is a proper animation now (no more insta-revive needle jabbing)
No health auto-regen.
You can drag downed players to cover to heal them.
AND NO MORE LOOTBOXES! (there will be paid cosmetics though.)


I think it could be the best Battlefield in awhile. I just hope everyone else can get over the bad trailer.

The whole "no premium pass or paid expansions is a GOOD THING!" idea needs to be laid to rest. This is EA. The moment the money stops coming in for this game, they'll abandon it like they did Battlefront. The only thing that means anything to EA is profit; without paid DLC or Expansions, you can expect CawaDooty level cosmetic whoring.

I really can't stand this fast-paced gameplay with 2018 SJW featured characters anymore. Maybe ArmA, Squad and such games ruined me, but this Michael Bay like games arent worth it anymore....i used to remember playing Battlefield and lauging about Call of Duty, now there is no difference at all anymore

Only in name, I have no idea what I've just watched other than some ADD-infected shit show. Direct as many folk to HLL and PS as possible, it's the only salvageable action that can be made out of this release.

BFV is not a game I think I want to play. It'll be too expensive, and I've never really been a fan of the series.

But why all the hate about non-historically-accurate characters? They never claimed it would be historically accurate or realistic, like Post Scriptum, Hell Let Loose, or Arma are. If you don't like the game decisions the developers have made, don't buy it.

I used to love the Battlefield series but this game looks like some sjw politically correct trash. I was hoping for a nice return to WW2 but instead they give us this.

There is one thing Dice can ... Move the intire FPS forward, they set a standart for what is posible to do. The content is a totally diffrent discussion.
The game and invorment is reaching new levels, in animations and destruction. Even with the flop trailer, i dont think its time to burry BF ...

BF is a fast paced action shooter, nice and relaxing to play sometimes, when you have played in strict military team Work based games.

And HLL is defently a game to keep in eye, for those who seek the most true autentic gameplay, like WoR.
PS ... It has posibilities, but its running really bad and has some very anoying bugs.

Still on the fence about the game. I do not care about that there are female soldiers on the field, war paint and that you can have a prosthetic hand(s). For me, it is all about the gameplay and how much fun (or not) I have playing the game.

Yes, if you go on the trailer alone you think "Wait, what?? this is the new Battlefield?? WTF is this??". But if you look more closely at all the info about the game you get a better feeling of what the game will/(hopefully) can be.
So I'll just wait and see. Time will tell :rolleyes:

Ive been looking over the various in game vid's from the last days.

Its BF1 in WW2. Thats not a surprise. But they do certainly press the destuction and animation level further.

Political Correctness is a cancer on western civilization. I was utterly disgusted at the trailer. It seemed to indicate that the game will be a 'twitch shooter' PC version of WWII. The last COD promised us 'boots on the ground', and the campaign mode did give us that, but multiplayer was more like boobs on the ground. Not really a biggie for me as I seldom play multiplayer anything. In my humble opinion, a historical title should at least stay truly historical. Diversity is good, but historical revision is not. History is truth, it happened, to apply modern sensibilities to past events to condemn is counterproductive. The SJW movement in all it's aspects is a descent into the tribalism that our ancestors fought for so many centuries to get out of. Identity politics have to place in historical games.

Not like this game hasn't revcieved enough hate already, I'll lay some more down. ..;,,;..

EA needs to die. I used to see EA when I was younger and think the game I was playing was going to be good. Now I see EA, I don't buy. They treat their gamers like crap, they are greedy as hell, and they love themselves some SJ in their games. Some people don't want to see a gaming company fall, but another will take it's place that doesn't treat their consumers like garbage.
