Company rank

So i'm a bit put off by the fact that I just subscribed, got my steam key.. (I pledged at the Brigadier level) and my company I formed my rank only goes to Captain? Shouldn't my rank go up to the rank I pledged?

Are you talking about the company tool? The highest rank in a company is a Captain.

It does not match your pledge tier.

Like already mentioned, the companies are based on the Maryland Campaign and a Captain is the highest ranking officer.
The next step we would like to add is the battalion level, so new ranks will be added like Colonel.

So far, a brigade level is far away :)

Plus the pledged tier has nothing to do with the ingame or CT ranks. It is simply a nice ringing title to your amount of money you spent on the games developement. Anyway welcome to the comunity mate.
