Hello again,
Looking video A tour of Antietam (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0yV1Nbx4uU) I saw a big and vast empty expanse. Than, got an idea to fill it.. How?
Well, for example with abadoned buildings, ranches, port.. etc..

I find some great 3d models which you can use to fill WoR territory.

And video (just as idea) for war horses which you can add as a supplement, and effect is better feeling of war in game.

Since we are trying to recreate the battlefields in a 1:1 scale, we are using historical maps as well as after action reports, which describe the landscape.
So each house, fence and what ever is placed, like it was documented in 1862/63.
As a small example: Every gravestone in Mumma's Farm cemetary has its correct position and authentic look (with text). You will only have those gravestones, which were there before september 17th.

There was a huuuge amount of "big and vast empty expanse", which wasn't used at all. Its against our main goal, to create an authentic and historical battlefield, if we would fill those lands with fictional buildings, which weren't there in 1862 ;)

Like I said, everything you will see and walk on, is trying to get simulated in a 100 % authentic way. Every house, fence, even some trees or stones have a special meaning and are not placed randomly.

I cannot imagine the amount of research you had to put in for this... I applaud the developer team once again - great job folks!

Its seriously commendable. Might i suggest one thing. Can you create a forest with rare & extinct animals. Say flying squirrels. flying squirrel facts can be found here http://squirrelguide.com/Flying-Squirrel.aspx#Fact Try adding extinct animals too. Like dodo the bird. Try can create such a forest and i'm not talking about stereotypical forests but different. And your animations will rule the world .! Seriously!
keep up the good work..!!

*Trying to figure out if this is a poke at "Flying Squirrel Entertainment" or just a coincidence*

For those of you who don't know, Flying Squirrel Entertainment is the group of guys who made the "Napoleonic Wars" dlc for Mount and Blade: Warband and are currently "developing" a new Civil War title that is similar to War of Rights. ;)

Heavy emphasis is needed on "developing"

The horse animation would be amazing and add so much to the game. If anything because of lag the death animation would really add realism.
