Noticed sometimes spawning and not having a weapon. Also, start with one bayonet and it changes to another. Also noticed a misfire. What I mean is the rifle is loaded, but fails to fire. Only noticed it happen one time.

More weapon fails. Getting stabby without being in melee mode. Even when kneeling. Also stabbing without pressing the left mouse. Not sure if its the game or just a fussy mouse..

1. Some misfires (rare occasion) happened to me, I click ... I see the hammer coming down ... no muzzleflash (pretty sure the musket was armed)
2. Haven't had the 'stabby' problem you described, I did once have a mouse that was sketchy* nd yes … strange stuff was happening :)
Bayonet prob : there is an issue when you start putting on the bayonet, animation runs and you think it's finished … and start moving -> sometimes it won't be on.
Bayonet prob : sometimes it's visual, you think it's not on … so you press 'B' only to see it magicly appears and you put it back in its sheet.
Tip : If you press 'T' you can see your stance in the right low corner : if a bayonet is attached the 'B' will be between "( )".
* Mouse 1 : Mad Catz Rat 7 -> The Philips sensor faded out after a few years
* Mouse 2 : Mionix Naos 8200 -> Pushbuttons became unriable
Best mouse I had for years = Logitech G7
Current mouse : Zowie EC2-A
Note : I can't stress gamers enough to get a good ergonomically designed mouse, lately companies have a wide variety of keyboard & mouses focused on particular needs.

I have had the occasional misfire. Gun goes off without hitting the left mouse. (That why I think it might be the mouse.) But also while running in the melee mode. I sometimes turn it off to keep from stabbing someone in the back and when I hit V it starts stabbing as if I hit the left mouse.

Be sure to upload your gamelog here so the devs can take a look at it.

Knock it up to alpha graphics. Everyone comes with a standard, over muzzle bayonet graphics. However certain rifles, (Mississippi, and some others,) used a sword style bayonet. No graphics as yet for this style for starting graphics, so it appears as a standard triangular bayonet until affixed to the mount whereby it changes to the style it's supposed to be. Been that way for a long time now.

What are the best graphics to play on?
Also I noticed that the sgts Bayonets are on the butt of the rifle sometimes. I took a pic from steam but not sure how to upload it.

Greetings,
When I say graphics, it has nothing to do with your system, but rather, it has to do with what has and has not been produced by the Dev team. So in other words, the only available graphics in game for an unused bayonet regardless of type will be the standard over the muzzle style mount. No graphics that I am aware of depict the sword bayonet in scabbard at your side. So incomplete, not a function of your system or settings.
Yep, the bayonet mounted on the stock of the rifle butt, is a known issue. I don't think it affects your actions when it comes to melee, it's a 3rd person image error I think, as you will always see your bayonet on your muzzle if you have affixed it to your weapon. :)

Not sure if it is bug, but I thought it was funny. Bullet hit the tree in front of me and this is what I saw on screen.

You should have seen em before they scaled em down to near realistic sizes. :D
BTW, yer never too old to stop learning. (Take it from an old man.)
This is a phenomenon of layers of alpha or whatever other technical term is used program wise to represent the non-penetrational quality of the tree, being some what loose and over sized. It is this same layer that will cause it to appear that your just fired round, ricochet to the rear or other unknown direction, should you stand too close to said tree. Because of this, it is always best to give yourself a couple feet from the protection of the tree when firing.

That is actually so cool. Probably a good thing it ricocheted instead of hitting me in the face. LOL. I cast 58 cal Minié ball to shoot and I wouldn't want one in the face IRL.
