I like the idea that when you will select your class, uniform won't be exactly the same as it would show.
Something kinda like Napoleonic Wars has. (Some units have blanket across the shoulder, some of them don't, even that they are same class)

so you choose a private from one of the infantry regiments and they would have a randomized uniform that would relate to their regiment

Yes, something like that.

We will have a random uniform system as well as a customization option.
So as a confederate for example, you can choose, if you like a grey shell jacket or a butternut frock coat, or something else ;)

yea that would be a thing, not every enlisted had the exact same uniform as the other enlisted men :)

Thought it was deffo more common for the Confederates to have non matching uniforms.

In the end all of the uniforms were just brown from the mud and blood.

Lifted from a post I made over on TaleWorlds regarding CSA uniforms:
The CSA had access to a variety of uniforms during the first half of the 'War of Northern Aggression'. There was no set uniform for the United States at that time, despite the standard Federal equipment (think Union!). Differing state laws and various militia arms (in a ceremonial capacity too) saw to it that regulation of a singular uniform was difficult to achieve. Several armies were lucky enough to be in close proximity to federal state depots during the outbreak of the war; thus they would be equipped in the same blue uniforms as the Federal troops, you can imagine how confusing this was on the field of battle. Due to the differing state uniforms derived through state laws, some Union troops were even equipped in grey uniforms whilst the Confederates were in blue! Beyond those lucky enough to acquire Federal clothing from the outset, the majority of the CSA troops were wearing whatever they could lay their hands on - be it homespun clothing or clothing pulled from the dead. This is where the impression of the 'rag-tag' Confederacy armies originates from.
The CSA had a new uniform designed for them at the outbreak of the war but it was difficult to implement with regularity. A depot system was set up during 1862 whereby each depot would supply their regional army with a uniform. Unfortunately, each depot produced uniforms to a slightly different design and pattern. Take a look through a Sutler site for the American Civil War and you'll find instances of Richmond Depot Jacket Style III and Georgia Depot Jacket Style II, and so on. The differences were largely in the accouterments; differing number of buttons, the presence (or absence) of a pocket, whether the depot had included piping for branch identification and so on. The CSA were also lucky enough to have clothing and cloth shipped in from the United Kingdom. Generally speaking though, the image of the CSA being a 'rag-tag' lot had disappeared by the end of the war. Aside from the South-Western armies (Tennessee, Texas), the army was equipped with uniforms that matched the consistency of the Union forces.

I like that kind of system because in same uniform everyone is same like he was cloned :p

Yeah, well Union regiments definitely had more "similar" and standardized uniforms compared to the CSA. They also had some variation though.
