Interesting new (for me) bug

I've been playing for around four weeks now and today I've encountered my first bug. During the EU event tonight, after my first death, on re-spawning I could no longer reload or do anything. Re-starting the game only reproduced the same results, as did verifying the game in Steam and restarting my system. So I'm fine until a re-spawn, after that I can't do anything.

Okay so, before the NA event I did a full re-install of the game and this problem persisted. In desperation I tried spawning as just the Private class and voila, no more problems, so I went back to being an NCO and sure enough, on re-spawn I could not do anything again. Spawning in as a Private and everything is fine, spawn as an NCO and I cannot do anything in game.
