You are not the first person here to complain about other companies 'stealing' men. To think in such a manner is wrong and classifies men as nothing but cattle with which to be jealously hoarded. If a man deserts your company for another on some vague promise, it must be considered that he was never really enthusiastic about your company and thus it is nothing lost. I would also consider the reason as to why someone would leave your company for another; the problem would likely be internal.

That said, it seems to have been a misunderstanding which could have been quietly resolved with a private message.
I will tidy up this thread later in the evening.
