Question about getting shot?

Last night I was in our battle line defending from a Reb attack on high street when I am pretty sure I was hit by a bullet. The reason I am confused is I wasn't killed. Question is was this some sort of glitch or are there mechanics in the game that allow you to be shot and survive. Thanks in advance.

At this time I am unaware of multiple hit boxes on player avatars for gun shots.

However you could have been bayneted or butt clubbed where it takes multiple hits for a kill.

That's what I thought as well but I heard the thud of a shot like every other time I was killed by a shot

Ive had this too I think, my best guess it’s some short of non fatal wound, like an arm hit or leg if you get me but AP could be entirely right.

I've been hit before by bullets and lived, it was in the legs which caused the same effect as getting hit once by a bayonet.

I used to but it stopped when the fences were changed to allow more bullet penetration. At least that's what I assumed was happening by the blood splatter on my screen and the lack of a friendly being shot near me. I believe it happened four or more times once when being shot at while protected by a fence at Dunker Church. It's been a long time though.

I've had this happen as well. Had the same effect as getting bayoneted, but there was no one with a bayonet near by.

Can also confirm this is happening. Kinda strange for some gents like us who've been with the game since its inception to not know exactly what's causing it <.<
