Hey! I'm wondering if anyone knows enough about wagons to tell what these are on the right side of the images.
From me it appears to clearly be a Forge Wagon.... an ambulance ... and a standard US army supply wagon.
I'm not sure about the ambulance though. Is anyone that confident in their wagons?
Thanks

If you want the high res version you have to drop down to the highest file size and download it that way.

Being as it is a little small, as well as washed out. (Link didn't work.)
What I see is (from the left,) a forge, an ambulance, an a standard issue quartermaster supply wagon.

I'm curious if it's not part of an artillery battery's wagon train? I've read a little on it mentioning that each battery had an ambulance, forge, and several supply wagons.
The more I finish studying the photos taken after the battle the more I've noticed overall. He was taking photos while troops were still on the field. The 1st Corps left Gettysburg on the morning of July 6th and the 3rd Corps still didn't leave until the early morning hours of July 7th. At least one officer of the 3rd Corps mentions in writing that he saw the photographers at work July 6th. It's interesting how much this has been ignored when it comes to studying the photographs. They're instead chalked up to part of the cleanup effort and here you have clear signs of wagon trains staged to move. A forge would serve little purpose in a cleanup operation.

Turns out it is indeed part of an artillery battery's wagon train. Probably 3rd or 1st Corps preparing to leave the field during the day of July 6th into the evening.
