That's a little dramatic. After the initial surprise of seeing it a large amount of players were telling him to stop so we could play an actual round

I couldn't tell and I wasn't recording but the volume of firepower and the devastation caused seemed unusual and it resulted in a lackluster final push vs last stand ending.

The above is not a game exploit. It is an actual cheat using a cheat program.

We hope to have a possible hotfix out sometime today.

In the meantime, please ban all players using this.

I was under the impression that folks couldnt edit the CVAR value for unlimited ammo outside of Drill Camp anymore. So you must have run up against the cheater. That being said, it is hard to ban him off of the servers currently as he is hopping from server to server and changing his name

The hotfix is probably going to take a bit longer to get done. It is of course top priority for our programmers to fix and so it will be out asap.

We've just VAC banned the originator of the cheat. We will continue to monitor if other players are using the same cheat and issue bans accordingly until a hotfix is out that closes this security loophole.

I represent Jenkins Brigade 2nd South Carolina company C. Our men noticed this behavior from this player and contacted the admin immediately through our Lt. Col. He was playing for CSA at the time and to assure any of you Northern boys, Jenkins and Picketts Brigade would never condone this and quickly reported it. Our discord also has had a discussion about this and we also have video of the hack documented if needed. God Speed.

It is quite natural that some people will laugh at such a visually extreme cheat the first time they see it - I believe that was what was being observed initially.

For these hacker guys Steam accounts are a dime a dozen. Until the mechanism they use to hack is patched they will just come back with a new account and buy the game with a hacked cc.

He'd have to purchase the game again with the new account as well. But yes, I agree with you that a counter patch to their cheat is the best course of action (we hope to have it out by tomorrow). :)

Them coming back, paying for the game again and than getting banned instantly is a win win situation for the developers. ;) (im pretty sure you can't get a refund on a game if you were banned for cheating.)
