I've reinstalled, I've deleted ALL folders and reinstalled, I've verified my files, I've cleared my cache, I've prayed to Athena, I've sacrificed a goat.

What now?

Which one did you try installing?

Please try installing this one: https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

If that doesn't work please try this one: https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/VC_redist.arm64.exe

If the above doesn't work, please make sure your windows (what version is it? I'm guessing Windows 7 as that continues to produce issues for us) is fully updated via the windows update app.

Nope, it's Windows 10 and I made sure it was updated today after reading up more on my issue. Many other help threads claimed it was a virus protection issue, and that the needed file(s) were being blocked by an anti-virus program, but I only have Windows Defender and I made exceptions to the entire War Of Rights folder at this point.

No this one particular issue is not related to any kind of anti virus software to the best of my knowledge. It's news to us that fully updated windows 10's won't work, however.

It's tied to us having upgraded to the 2019 version of the redistributables in the first of the recent hotfixes. I've passed your feedback on to the programmers in an effort to solve the issue and will get back to you when they have responded.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Update: I've fixed the issue. Took an entire Windows reinstall, but WoR works now.

Hmm okay, thanks for the update.

It is of course not a proper way to fix the problem (far too extreme a solution). We will continue to investigate this but I'm glad you managed to fix it. :)

Here's the things I tried:

Downloaded redistributables
Updated permissions to the .dll file
Deleted .dll file and verified the files
Added exceptions to my Windows Defender
Had sex with a Pagan Fertility Goddess to achieve Big Dick Energy(This one seemed to work the best)

Finally, I uninstalled War of Rights, reinstalled windows, and it reinstalled all of the redistributables when I reinstalled War of Rights.

What i'd like for people to try and report back their results:
-Remove the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable from your computer via add and remove programs
-Download and install the redistributable from Microsoft (https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe).

If this doesnt work it would be great if you could check which .dll files the process tries to access on startup.
This can be done with a tool called "Procmon" (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon).
Press the capture button, the little looking glass, once before starting WarOfRights and then another time after closing the error window or the process.
Now you can either safe and upload the log file so we can take a look at it, which will include ALL process activity during that time periond, or use the filter functions to filter out all attempted .dll file accesses during the capture period.
