ABOUT US

11630
We are a disciplined, well-trained and organized EU based unit for War of Rights. Our Officers and NCOs are skilled and experienced, having served in multiple regiments in different games in the past. The 18th Mississippi will always be ready to work together with other units on the battlefield to ensure victory, or go down trying. Even though we are EU based, anyone who can attend our trainings and events is welcome to join the 18th Mississippi Infantry Regiment - Company A (the schedule is listed below).

We train to grow as individuals, improve as a company and strengthen as a unit. But we will always work together to keep the game fun and interesting for everyone involved. This comes with maintaining a good atmosphere and, of course, some good old-fashioned banter. We will always underline the value of freedom and ability to believe, think and say what you want, but we will NOT condone bullying of any kind. Our unit is a mix of different nationalities, individuals and beliefs and we want every single one to enjoy their time with the 18th Mississippi Infantry Regiment - Company A.

The 18th Mississippi Infantry Regiment is a member of the Stonewall Jackson's Second Corps community in War of Rights.

Excellent thread design, best wishes to y'all as you begin to muster. I hope you honor the (historical) 18th Mississippi.

Thank you. There is still a lot we need to do on the thread, information to add and so on.

Are you the dudes with the cool uniforms?

I think you're mixing the 18th with the 11th Mississippi. They are the ones with the cool uniforms (the ones you get with the Brigadier General level pledge).

Yep, that'd be them.

18th Mississippi Infantry
On the Sharpsburg Campaign

"With McLaw's division they co-operated with Jackson's Corps in the movement against Harpers Ferry, the task of McLaws being the capture of the Federal garrison in fortified camp on the Maryland Heights. They scaled the mountain September 12 and 13, with some active fighting, but the enemy escaped. Being ordered thence to Brownsville, they did not reach the field of Sharpsburg until after the battle had been a few hours in progress. The men were worn out with hunger and night marching, and only 186 officers and men went into the battle. The loss was 11 killed and 69 wounded. Major Campbell, commanding the regiment, was seriously wounded while nobly leading his men. Lieut.Col. Luse and Colonel Humphreys reached the field just as the battle was closing and their presence cheered and animated the whole brigade."
