Hey fellow history buffs,

I have recently found this youtube channel called Civil War Digital Digest. They make cool videos all about the civil war period, both civilian and military topics. The videos aren't too long but are filled with detail! My favorite ones are the ones covering various muskets and military drilling. Here are links to some of those videos -

One about Spencer and Henry rifles.

Civil War sharpshooting weapons includes a cool (sad/ironic?) story about Union Gen. John Sedgwick being sniped at Spotsylvania.

And here's a cool one about Confederate drill

And the last one I'll post here - I love the vids on recipes. I've tried making this one, and it's pretty good!

Those are just a few of the awesome vids they've made.
Has anyone else seen this channel? I can't believe that I just barely found this.

Sharing it here because I know that a lot of you here will enjoy these as much as I have.

I certainly have enjoyed the channel! Lots of great information.

Sweet! By chance, have any facts from their videos helped guide any parts of the historicity of WoR? I'm just curious.

That's pretty cool to know!
The attention to detail and correctness for WoR that you guys put into it is astounding.
Thanks for a great game so far!

It is awesome to see people looking at them!
My reenactment group uses them as a historical source, with a couple people knowing them. (During a popular state-wide reenactment).
Cheers,

Here is a link to the Artillerist's Manual, authored by John Gibbon {a historic Union general officer that many know very well} which all may download freely.

Also, this site is a online public library and links to collections in the Library of Congress of the United States of America.
Often, search results do not "hit" this site - though the searches for materials within this site are very exhaustive...
