Poinsett's Manual of Cavalry Tactics is only one of a couple different manuals on Cavalry during the Civil War.
There's a re-enactment group called "11th OVC, (OHIO Volunteer Cavalry.) and I found the following YouTube play list interesting. Perhaps some of you will as well.
