Do think there will any maps with forts or palisades you have to defend from attackers? Attackers would have to blow down wall with artillery stuff like that.

Harpers Ferry was a siege, albeit not a very long one. ;)

That would be really amazing at this game.

I think that the way the game is made means that this could happen completely down to player choice so say that the confeds are beating the union so they run and hide in harpers ferry, the confeds would then have to bring their artillery over and blockade.
Which sounds very kewl

I plan on making the Alamo again like on NaS and Fort Wagner soon as Alpha starts. The cryengine map editor is WAY superior to Mount and Blade's :D Twiddling my thumbs until then :(

Harpers ferry was taken by confederates I think days or weeks before Antietam. Harpers ferry was a camp. The 111th and the 126th were at harpers ferry and were captured defending it. Luckily they were traded back and passed and watched as their comrades fight in the battle of Antietam. From what I infer I guess that the Union took back harpers ferry from the confeds after the 111th and 126th were captured and then defended it at the battle of antietam. As for the 111th and 126 they spent time way in the north I horrible conditions until they were moved to another camp in Virginia where later they would join the Army of the Potomac and fight at Gettysburg and get revenge on their captors during pickets charge and on the 2nd day. And that concludes our history lesson with private Scott.

Harpers Ferry, because of its location at the mouth of the Shenandoah Valley traded hands every time either military fell back.
And Harpers Ferry was captured during the Antietam campaign by Jackson before he arrived to fight at Antietam. So ... only days, closer to hours actually. In fact, A.P. Hill saved the confederate army from complete collapse by marching from Harpers Ferry to the battlefield of Antietam on the very day the battle was fought. Harpers Ferry being only 12 mile as the crow flies from Sharpsburg.

It would be neat if there were some minor defenses at Harpers Ferry, just like a couple of breastworks or something on the Heights

Thing about that is it wouldn't be too accurate, most seiges took place miles outside the city, though maybe you could have a skirmish map like Fredericksburg that is just the town portion of it, though not a siege.

Petersburg comes to mind, Vicksburg comes to mind, Atlanta comes to mind. Even Richmond and Washington DC come to mind. Oh!, let's not forget Yorktown.
