View Full Version : War of Rights will not start

I have been unable to start War of Rights since update 147 and it seems that I am not the only one. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling I have verified my game files, checked my antivirus, and have restarted steam several times. It has worked fine for over 2500 hours before the update so not likely that it is anything on my end.

It has worked fine on my computer, on the highest settings, for over 2500 hours until the last patch. I have kept up a 150 man server for 3 years, and I am the CO of a regiment.... Looks like, War of Rights will be losing another regiment. Sucks, I loved this game...

I'm sorry to hear so.
You've been lucky to be able to run it for this long considering that you've been using a non-supported CPU all this time (the minimum CPU requirements listed on our steam store page has always been a 2nd gen i series).

There are others also having the same problems since the last patch. I really don't think it is as simple as the CPU... You will be losing a lot more people than just me, through no choice of our own, I am sorry to say. Time for a mass exodus to BCOF I guess :(. Bye Trusty Ill misss you and everyone, Thanks for the fun times.

It's due to the recent major performance improvements making use of newer code developments to take better advantage of the CPU. In doing so, the 13 year old first gen i CPU series (that we have never officially supported as our minimum requirement has always been a 2nd gen) is now not able to run said newer code due to its age.

Thank you. Y'all could always buy me a new computer so that you don't lose such an old and "valued" member of the community along with the 300,000,000 people who love me. I mean now there will only be the 3 trolls left that don't care...

The CPU yes, the Intel integrated graphics card, no.
Cryengine requires a dedicated graphics card to be able to run.

I'm terrible at shopping for computers, so I can relate to your situation. Why not reach out to your regiment and see if anyone particularly tech savvy could recommend a good machine within the limits of your budget?

Please help me. I am attempting to launch War of Rights from Steam but it just closes after a second. I have tried reinstalling the game twice now, and just about any else possible found online regarding this issue. I have played this game before in the past on the same graphics card (GT 1030) and a PC.
I can run this game on my device, I don't understand why whenever I press "Play" it says "running..." for about three seconds then closes, leaving me with the "play" button again.

Are you running windows 7 by any chance?
If so make sure that your windows is fully updated (with service pack 1, etc.).

It is doing the same thing to me. Though I was told mine does not meet system requirements I was able to run it on the highest settings for 2500 hours before the last patch. I tried GeForce Now and it works. It's free though it does cost $10 a month for unlimited play time.https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/memberships

been playing for 3 years, all of a sudden game crashes upon server entry. do some digging around here, do the uninstall\delete steamapps, re-install. still same issue. do some more digging, find this minimum system requirements check stuff, I do it, comes back as my CPU is non-compatible. So am I to believe that 1 second it was good enough and the next it wasnt? Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-6100 CPU @ 3.70GHz, its a few years old, dont get me wrong. but I run Battlefield no issues. It wouldnt let me create a thread, so I figured I'd try here. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Where can I find the System Requirements Test page so I can check my Comp to see if it will run the game?

All,
And now, thanks to bloody Microsoft, my comp has been "upgraded" without my consent, over night while I was asleep, to windows 11. F-ing marvelous. WoR Devs - will the game run on Win 11 or are some of us screwed?

Word I got O'Neill, is that anything thing that runs in Windows 10 will run in Windows 11. Maybe even better. You're not screwed.
