So, since the last update I've noticed the addition of companies so people could join such like how much a clan works.
My concern is, being I an European, I'm clueless about the Civil War and I'm afraid I will not fit on one of those companies since I don't know nothing about it.
My question is, is ok to create a totally random european company or this will not make sense at all (with a random number and a random name) ?

That's a poor excuse saying you're European and give not a damn about the Civil War. I am from Hungary and I know a lot about it. Just look up a Confederate or Union Regiment and there you go. The game is about the American Civil War.

Most of regiments are EU based lol, so don't worry.

To be honest I totally don't really care about the American Civil War however I like the concept and that's why I backed this project, new war theaters as well new mechanics.

Books and subject specific searches are wonderful things. Self education is invaluable.

Plus
There are many Units on both sides that were made up of European Volunteers, be it from Ireland (most notably) and possibly Germany.

Wise words my friend.
I knew why that war happened but it's more difficult to find in my language the technical aspects such as the drills and info about artillery and such.
But still, I'll search further for it since the devs already said this is more like a role-play game and in this way it would be nice if I can get a nice immersion
Anyway, the user Celt already post a thread (http://www.warofrightsforum.com/showthread.php?776-Question-Do-Companies-started-here-hold-quot-the-rights-quot-to-a-unit) with the doubts I had that couldn't explain here.

Victor, as a European myself, I have enjoyed several years membership in U.S. clans and I can tell you Americans are some of the most enthusiastic and friendly gamers you will ever meet! I anticipate War of Rights will be a superbly immersive experience as our 'cousins over the ocean' really start hollering and whooping over teamspeak and voicechat. The Rebs and Yanks will be full-throated, no doubt. Choose your clan/regiment/company and I am confident you will receive a warm welcome. :D

While many of us 'Muricans act like we hate all of you Europeans, we actually don't care where you come from! XD Join a community, and you will be welcomed with open arms. :)

Here are some good sources :)
You'll notice that there are many conflicting opinions on the main cause of the Civil War. Us Southerners will say slavery wasn't the cause of the war and Northerners will say slavery was the cause of the war. I have included sources that argue both perspectives.
