Why is my rank still Private?

Why is my rank still Private, I have like 30+ posts, can you create a post with all the ranks and how many posts you need?

Does forum rank matter? Ranks based on amount of posts you have is a bad way of doing things. Many forum base it of the amount of time you spend on the forums,and so people don't just leave there computer one to get 1st Lt in a day or so it checs if your active rather then just sitting on a bored.

you start as recruit. and every 30 posts there is one rank up i belive. but why have a generals rank earned by posting BS. rather be a rec or a pvt and post actually relevant things....

Wander how long it will be before I make First Sergeant. Why is there no Sergeant Major rank :( and can I request the option to go down either Union or Confed officer ranks when the time comes. I don't want to dirty myself with those confed officer stripes and stars ;)
